MARRIAGE/PRE-MARRIAGE RELATIONSHIP ASSESSMENTS During the course of counseling we may use one of several different instruments available to us to diagnose a relationship: 1. FOCUS/REFOCUS – A series of questions that cover 19 areas of the relationship illustrating strength areas and areas needing focused attention. 2. PREPARE/ENRICH – Comprehensive couple assessment with skill-building exercises. 3. CALLED TOGETHER – Comprehensive workbook for young couples who already share a deep Biblical faith. 4. PERSONALITY PLUS – Temperament profiles to explore personality and temperament distinctives. Most of these assessments can be completed during one counseling session. The questionnaires are processed and the results are made available at the next session. Those results become a guide for further counseling sessions providing insight and depth to the dynamics of the relationship. The cost for the assessments ranges from $20 - $50 The greatest benefit of taking any one of these assessments is that they provide an objective analysis of the relationship dynamics thus eliminating early diagnostic/discovery sessions and shortening the overall time a couples spends in counseling. |
